The Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona (WFSA), in partnership with Silverado Technologies and Neudesic (an IBM Company), will host the upcoming Women in Tech events in Tucson and Phoenix
Women in Tech: Tucson will include a panel discussion featuring STEM women professionals on March 29 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa. Women in Tech: Phoenix will include a panel discussion featuring STEM women professionals on March 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Neudesic (an IBM Company).
This free discussion includes featured speakers such as Michelle Aranda, Director of Client Delivery at Neudesic. Aranda will share her experience as a BIPOC woman in tech over the past 13 years. Her leadership and insight into technology fields, along with her commitment to furthering the access of STEM careers to young women in the workforce, will lead this panel discussion. Aranda will be joined by other STEM leaders in our community for this innovative discussion including Jessica Dexter Mendez, Danette Bewley, and Carrie Aldrich.
Speakers will share their paths into their fields, how the pandemic has affected BIPOC women in STEM and much more.
WFSA’s Chief Development Officer, Angela Florez, shared that “the gender gaps in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields are significant and at WFSA we are committed to bridging those gaps by offering these in-depth panel discussions. We hope to encourage women to pursue technology programs and build fulfilling and self-sustaining careers in this growing field.”
