Harriet Silverman Small Grants Fund Supports Organizations Supporting Women
The Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona (WFSA) has awarded 10K in funding to four Arizona non-profits from the Harriet Silverman Small Grants Fund.
The funding will support organizations dedicated to providing essential support and services for women and girls in southern Arizona.
The Women’s Foundation has invested nearly 20 million dollars in organizations that support women and girls in Arizona in its 30-year history. Harriet Silverman is one of the WFSA founders and remains an active and engaged participant in this grant program.

“As the result of [this] award, The Resilience Project will be able to flourish art-based scholarship programming within communities directly impacted by the trauma of sexual violence and assault…We will continue to empower the voices of those that seek to heal through art and art expression,” said Renee Kargleder, Executive Director and Founder of Resilience Project.
Mia Hansen, Executive Director with Southern Arizona Adaptive Sports (SAAS), shared that this award supports their growing population of women and girls involved with adaptive sports.
“This allows us to keep fueling our women and disability-led programs to continue to provide free and low-cost services to the community we serve,” said Hansen.
