(FLAGSTAFF, AZ) – The Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona (WFSA) is excited to announce its visit to Northern Arizona this weekend, participating in three significant community events: the Rural Women’s Health Symposium (June 13-14), Pride in the Pines (June 15), and a Flagstaff Women’s Soccer League game at Foxglenn Park (June 16). WFSA aims to strengthen community connections and celebrate the impactful work being done by women and girls of all identities in these spaces.
Rural Women’s Health Symposium – Addressing Healthcare Challenges
Kicking off the weekend, WFSA will participate in the Rural Women’s Health Symposium from June 13-14. This crucial event brings together health professionals and community leaders to address the unique healthcare challenges faced by women in rural areas. WFSA is a proud Exhibitor Sponsor for the event and hopes to uplift health outcomes for rural women through this partnership. “Healthcare access is a fundamental right for all women,” said Katia Jones, CEO of WFSA. “WFSA is committed to bridging the healthcare gap for women in rural communities through education and awareness.”
Pride in the Pines – Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion
On Saturday, June 15, WFSA will join the vibrant celebration of Pride in the Pines, Flagstaff’s annual LGBTQ+ festival as Gold Level event sponsors. The foundation will host an informational booth and participate in the parade to support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. “We stand for a society where all women, regardless of their sexual orientation or identity, can thrive,” said Jones. “Pride in the Pines offers a wonderful opportunity for us to show our support and celebrate diversity and inclusion for all women including transgender women and our nonbinary community members.”
Flagstaff Women’s Soccer League Game – Promoting Teamwork
Concluding the weekend, WFSA will attend a Flagstaff Women’s Soccer League game at Foxglenn Park on Sunday, June 16. The foundation supports women in sports and promotes tenacity and teamwork. Attendees will have the chance to meet WFSA staff, learn about upcoming programs, and enjoy an exciting game. “Sports play a vital role in building confidence and leadership among women and girls,” Jones noted. “We are excited to cheer on these talented athletes as the Official Team Sponsor for the second year in a row. We hope to see you there!”
This weekend promises to be an inspiring series of events. The Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona looks forward to engaging with the Northern Arizona community and continuing its mission of empowering women throughout the state.
