Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona Awards Scholarship Grant for Equine Therapy Treatments
(PHOENIX, AZ) – The Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona (WFSA) is thrilled to announce a new scholarship grant awarded to three young women from a local Phoenix group home. The scholarship grant covers the cost of therapy sessions, guaranteeing continuous and comprehensive support for the recipients through The Rancho Milagro Foundation in Phoenix.
The scholarship aims to support the mental health and well-being of these young women, offering them a unique opportunity to engage in therapeutic activities with horses. Equine therapy, known for its profound impact on emotional and psychological healing, will help these teens develop confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience.
“We are incredibly honored to support these deserving young women through our partnership with The Rancho Milagro Foundation,” said Felicia Hansen, Director of Community Mobilization at WFSA. “Equine therapy offers a transformative experience, and we believe this scholarship will make a significant positive difference in their lives.”
The Rancho Milagro Foundation, a renowned equine therapy center in Phoenix, has a strong track record of providing effective therapy programs that promote healing and personal growth. Their experienced therapists and well-trained horses create a safe and nurturing environment for participants.
The Rancho Milagro Foundation’s Founder and Executive Director, Vanessa Kohnen, added “Thanks to the generous funding from the WFSA, we can continue our dedicated service to local group homes.”
Hansen continued, “WFSA is committed to supporting and uplifting direct service providers like The Rancho Milagro Foundation in order to change the trajectory for women and girls of all identities throughout our state.”
The Women’s Foundation for the State of Arizona continues to champion initiatives that advance the status and well-being of women and girls. This scholarship grant for equine therapy treatments is a significant step in providing holistic support to those in need.
